I created this account when I was pretty much just a boy. More than a decade later, I think it's time to leave this one behind. There is too much stuff on it, and to just strip it out would take too long.

However, I have created a new account (link below) and would love if my current watchers would start following that one. I will post any and all new art there!

  2. What does your username mean? I made it up as a fan as Dragonball Z character name. However, depending on how you pronounce the word, in Japanese it can mean fist, second, or manuscript (which meaning I usually use).

  3. Describe yourself in three words. Dreamer, Realist, Religious.

  4. Are you left or right handed? Right handed~

  5. What was your first deviation? This thing: Downswing

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create? Impressionistic Oil Paintings (in the style of the Russian masters)

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? 2D hand-drawn animation!

  8. What was your first favourite? Amusingly, this(because it's one of the top ones above): Angel of Fire

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Comic-book style illustrations.

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? On my couch watching my wife play with my baby boy.

More and more changes!

So lets see....

My university dropped my major! So I started digging around and they have an "Entertainment Arts and Engineering" Program (aka video game development).
I no longer need a second BA so I'm preparing to submit an application to the EAE MA program with an emphasis in game art. Hopefully that goes well. The hard part is I am building a new portfolio from scratch.

Somehow the idea of doing art for games is helping my art fire rekindle, and also God being kind. I don't like the idea of being a freelance illustrator at all. But the idea of doing art for games as a normal hired staff position makes me all kinds of giddy! I've been working on building my skill sets and have began incorporating a lot more ink in my work than before. Maybe I'm also trying to channel a little bit of my inner "Yoshitaka Amano."

oooo! Another journal update in the same month!?

You may be wondering what kind of madness this is!
So am I....

I'm trying to reestablish a personal presence on the internet. I'm doing all my marketing for my "Alchemic" book series and need to be in contact with people. But I'm pretty much learning some new tricks so we'll see how it goes. 

I start college again next month so I'm a little excited about that. I need to get a second BA before I can get into the MA program I want, so not excited about that part. But I'm moving forward with life and that is what is important!

I wrote a book!

I wrote a book called "Alchemic Blue." I wasn't sure how to publish it, and after researching I eventually decided on publishing as an independent author on Kindle Store. I'm a "Serial Novella" author. That means I'll do regular releases of stories between 140-200 pages, and for 99c - $1.99. (Most will only be a dollar.)


Yesterday was my 28th Birthday. It was also the day I released my first upload to the Kindle Store, "Alchemic Blue: The Alchemist." It will be followed by "Alchemic Blue: The Angel, The Rat, and The Vampire" and "Alchemic Blue: Frowen," which will then complete the Alchemic Blue arc and begin the Alchemic Red arc. Each individual release is only 99c, so please go grab it and leave a review!
